An insightful day at the Saffron User Conference

The Saffron User Conference

After a welcome from MD Phil Jones, the day’s main sessions began with Scott Brown & Mark Parnell talking about the latest Saffron P2P initiatives and then presenting a preview of Saffron Check, the game-changing solution which will be released soon.  These developments were warmly welcomed by a receptive and questioning client audience.

The key speakers during the day were very well received, each adding a different flavour to the day:  WO1 John Connor and CPO Gavin Tuach from the Royal Navy enthralled their audience with a light-hearted but enlightening insight into the challenges of feeding the forces at sea; Ian Bowles from WRAP UK introduced the food reduction roadmap and explained how we can all be involved; and Will Nicholson from The Food Climate Research Network talked about the Peas Please Pledge and the initiatives to encourage everyone in Britain to eat an extra portion of veg a day.

In the afternoon Lee Gibbs and Andrew Pond presented the latest Saffron initiatives which included highlighting useful enhancements for the Wellbeing Portal, dynamic menu planning and label printing before Matt Hart introduced the Saffron Professional Service Portfolio focusing on the services we are able to provide.

During the day, clients welcomed the opportunity to meet with the Saffron team but also to network with other businesses, companies who might traditionally be seen as competitors but who within the relaxed atmosphere of the conference were simply colleagues dealing with similar issues within their own organsations.

After an insightful and informative day of discussion and learning, the attendees adjoined for the evening social where they kicked back their heels and continued the discussions over pizza and drinks.
