Lindsay Graham – School Food & Health Advisor
“I have known my good colleagues at Fretwell Downing Hospitality (FDH) for the last nine years. I first came across FDH while working as National Development Officer Eating for Health for the Scottish Government and then again during my time with School Food Trust in England.
I have been very privileged to work across the country advising Government Agencies, Health Trusts, Local Authorities, Schools and Contract Caterers who have direct responsibility for the provision of quality nutritionally analysed food in UK schools. Without fail those using the services of FDH have spoken highly of the company, it’s people and it’s services.
I have always found the staff and leadership at FDH to be outstanding. They care passionately about the service they provide but more important they care about the outcomes for their clients. To me that’s the thousands of children whose school lunch menus are analysed by their software on a daily basis.
They are a great bunch to work with and are always open to innovation and shared learning. They have turned up at the drop of a hat to work in schools with me, giving their time and expertise to support curriculum activities as part of their CSR which demonstrates real community involvement ethos.
They work internationally to promote their business and the city of Sheffield. Even as far as meeting United States Department Of Agriculture Deputy Under Secretary to talk Nutritional Standards in Schools and Software innovation.
They are true ambassadors for Sheffield as centre for digital excellence and innovation, they are also quite humble about their achievements.”
